The bond between our family and the jewelry and diamond industries date back to 1890, when Garabed Davoyan, my Great Grandfather, founded his goldsmith factory in the city of Aintab, a flourishing Armenian city under Ottoman rule.
Fleeing World War One and the Armenian Genocide of 1915, Garabed moved southwards to Aleppo, leaving behind immensely beautiful memories and a sad nostalgia of the ancestral lands.

My Grandfather
In the old historical souks of Aleppo with their marvellous cobblestone alleys and centuries old arcades, my grandfather David, the second generation, established a small boutique that was empowered with a forward looking vision. Emerging from the ashes of the past in Aintab, our journey resumed with difficulties and complexities, but assertively topped with beautiful achievements....
Unable to resist to the charm of Beirut, the Switzerland of the Middle East as it used to be called, the third generation of the family established in Lebanon in 1970. My father Vahe and my uncle Garbis fell in love with this vibrant city, the melting pot of cultures and identities. Lebanon is a truly fascinating place to be, with a lot of contradictions, ups and downs, but most importantly, it is a country inhabited by hard working people who have a tremendous degree of resilience and an unparalleled love for their country.
